Notes on the figures
- AC180P, rated capacity: From Tech Specs > BATTERY INFO. Headline bullet also says “1,440Wh Larger Capacity*”; comparison table column for AC180P says 1440Wh.
- DELTA 3 Plus, rated capacity: 1024Wh
- AC180P, continuous output: From Tech Specs > OUTPUT. Headline bullet: “1,800W AC Output / 2,700W Power Lifting Mode”. Discharging temperature line adds a derate: 86°F-104°F: 1,500W Max.
- DELTA 3 Plus, continuous output: 1800W
- AC180P, surge: The spec table labels this “Surge Power”, but the same 2,700W figure is marketed as “Power Lifting Mode” for resistive heating loads (FAQ Q1: “AC180P can run high-power heating devices up to 2,700W … Do NOT use this unit to run an air conditioner or washing machine.”). Treat as a boost mode for resistive loads, not a conventional motor-start surge rating.
- DELTA 3 Plus, surge: EcoFlow’s X-Boost raises sustained output to 2,200 W for resistive loads; 3,600 W is the surge figure. The two are different things.
- AC180P, full recharge: Upper bound of the stated full-charge range (≈1.3-1.8 hours = ≈78-108 min) in Turbo Charging mode (1,440W, enabled via the BLUETTI App). FAQ Q5 on the same page gives a different range: “you can fill it up in only 1.5-2 hours”. The 0-80% figure is stated separately: “0-80% Recharging in 45Mins with 1,440W AC Input”. Standard mode (around 1,000W) is 1.7-2.2 hrs; Silent mode (260W) 4.9-5.4 hrs per FAQ Q6.

Calculated, not measured: hours = rated Wh × efficiency ÷ (appliance W × duty); assumptions on How we verify. “Unlikely to start”: start-up surge exceeds the stated surge rating. “Start-up not assessed” appears where the start-up draw meets or exceeds the unit’s continuous rating and the unit states no conventional motor-start surge to check it against (AC180P); the hours assume the motor starts.
What the differences mean
Price per watt-hour. At the list prices we checked, the AC180P costs $0.45/Wh against $0.78/Wh for the DELTA 3 Plus. At list the AC180P is $150 cheaper ($649 vs $799) for 1,440 Wh vs 1,024 Wh. Prices move with sales; the ratio moves with them. Note: the AC180P is listed as discontinued at the manufacturer; its figure here is the last list price shown.
Weight for the capacity. The AC180P carries 40.8 Wh/lb against 37.1 Wh/lb for the DELTA 3 Plus. Both are two-hands-and-a-flat-surface units; the difference matters if the unit moves between car, porch and basement.
Cycle rating. The DELTA 3 Plus is rated for 4,000 cycles against 3,500 for the AC180P, both to the same remaining-capacity threshold — otherwise we would not compare them. At one full cycle a week the difference is measured in years, not months; at occasional outage use neither limit is reached.
Output for the money. 2.77 W/$ on the AC180P against 2.25 W/$ on the DELTA 3 Plus: this is the ratio to read if your outage plan is one big appliance, not many small ones.
Which one, and for whom
On normalized measures the AC180P leads on cost per watt-hour ($0.45/Wh vs $0.78/Wh), watt-hours per pound (40.8 Wh/lb vs 37.1 Wh/lb) and continuous watts per dollar (2.77 W/$ vs 2.25 W/$). The DELTA 3 Plus answers on rated cycle life (4,000 vs 3,500). The deciding figure is the one your own outage will test first:
- CPAP overnight. Switchover: AC180P no UPS figure stated, DELTA 3 Plus under 10 ms. A 40 W CPAP runs roughly 25–30 hr on the AC180P and 18–21 hr on the DELTA 3 Plus. Both run the night; the AC180P states no UPS figure, which matters more overnight than the hour difference.
- Keeping a refrigerator cold. The compressor has to start before hours matter. The AC180P states a boost figure rather than a motor-start surge rating; the DELTA 3 Plus states a 3,600 W surge rating. A full-size refrigerator needs about 900 W to start.
- A multi-day outage with a generator or solar to recharge from. Full recharge: AC180P a stated 78–108 min range, DELTA 3 Plus 56 min. The AC180P figure is an upper bound, not a measured time, so the two cannot be ranked from published numbers.

A 1,024–1,440 Wh battery cannot do what a gasoline generator does — the runtime table shows a 1,500 W space heater emptying either unit in 0.6–0.8 hr — but it also cannot poison a household.
